• There are more than 58,000 ATMs (both private and bank owned) located across Canada
• Non bank ATMs (white label) comprise approximately 61 per cent of installed base
• Approximately 33 per cent of Canadians use ATMs as their primary means of conducting financial transactions
• The average ATM surcharge in 2008 was $1.50
• There were more than 244 million Interac ATM withdrawals in Canada during 2009
• The majority of ATM growth is driven by non bank ATM deployers such as those affiliated with CBMA
